During an appearance at the Tribeca Film Festival, Taylor said, “It felt very natural to extend writing a song and visualizing it in my head to making a shot list and storyboarding it and picking who we wanted as the head of each department and who would help put all of this puzzle together.”

Although she also performed the song live at the Tribeca Film Festival, there’s no word as to whether or not she’ll also perform her song live at the Toronto Film Festival.

Taylor Swift Announces Brand New Album During VMA Win

On Sunday night, Taylor made her fans “Wildest Dreams” come true by announcing that she has a brand new album out in less than two months.

“I made up my mind that if you were going to be this generous, and give us this … I thought it might be a fun moment to tell you my new album comes out Oct. 21, and I will tell you more at midnight,” she said as she received her award.

“I’m so honored to have been recognized alongside such amazing artists and directors in this category,” she continued. “I just want to say I’m so heartened by the fact that for the first time in VMA history four of the directors nominated in the Video of the Year category are women.”

“You guys, I’m just so proud of what we made and I know with every second of this moment that we wouldn’t have been able to make this short film if it weren’t for you the fans. I wouldn’t be able to re-record my albums if it weren’t for you, you emboldened me to do that.”

She later posted the announcement to her social media channels, adding that her new album tells “the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life” and will be out on October 21.
